WWE Star Praises AJ Styles – “He’s Amazing To Work With”

AJ Styles

Since his Royal Rumble debut, AJ Styles has proven why he belonged in WWE for so long, and one superstar has gone on record to discuss quite how good he is.

The music may not have been familiar, but the reaction from the crowd when AJ Styles made his surprise debut in the 2016 Royal Rumble clearly showed they knew who he was. Since then he’s gone on to win multiple championships, and has gone on to be a stalwart on the roster where you know you’ll see an excellent match.

In recent weeks ‘The Phenomenal One’ has been embroiled in a rivalry with Karrion Kross. Kross returned to the company in 2022 having previously been released, and had battles with the likes of Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio.

In a discussion on Keepin’ It 100, Karrion Kross has singled out AJ Styles for praise after working together recently, making it clear how good he finds their chemistry.

He’s amazing to work with. He’s the best. The thing that stands out to me is that he has a ring IQ of nobody that I’ve ever met. I’ve met people with high ring IQs … the way he sees wrestling is, he was ahead of his time when he was coming up in TNA, and I think in a lot of aspects, he’s still ahead of his time, even present day.

The things that he’s doing, there are nuances that people aren’t even picking up that people will study a decade from now going, ‘He was the only one doing that’. I won’t say what it is, but if you know you know if you watch his work.

With Kross known for his physicality in the ring, he went on to say that it’s something Styles matches up to rather than backing down from.

He’ll bring it. He’s someone I can get in the ring with where I know he’s going to punch me in the face, I’m good with it, he knows I’m good with it, and he knows I’m going to suplex him on his head. People are going to get their money’s worth when we work.

With it being a surprise when Karrion Kross returned to WWE, he has revealed what disguise he wore on the day.
