WWE SmackDown Spoilers For February 23
The spoilers are here for the final WWE SmackDown episode before Elimination Chamber with Drew McIntyre facing LA Knight in the main event.
Due to the next WWE Premium Live Event taking place in Perth, Australia on February 24th, World Wrestling Entertainment had to adjust their taping schedule a bit and tape two episodes of SmackDown in one night.
The February 16th episode of Smackdown aired live in Salt Lake City, Utah with a show ending segment that saw The Rock show that he is aligned with The Bloodline.
As for the in-ring action on Smackdown, there were two Men’s and two Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Matches. Kevin Owens and US Champion Logan Paul qualified for the Men’s Chamber match to complete the field of six while Tiffany Stratton and Naomi qualified for the Women’s Chamber match.
After that show ended, WWE taped the next week’s show.
WWE SmackDown Spoilers For February 23rd
Before the Smackdown tapings started, WWE taped two matches for the upcoming WWE Speed series.
* Dragon Lee defeated Cedric Alexander
* Odyssey Jones defeated Cameron Grimes
Match #1: Tiffany Stratton beat Liv Morgan. Bianca Belair was at ringside, so Stratton shoved Morgan into Belair and Sratton gotta cradle pin.
A vignette aired hyping up SmackDown’s new tag team of Ashante Adonis & Cedric Alexander.
A backstage segment involving The Bloodline aired. No specifics were given about it.
Match #2: Bron Breakker defeated Dante Chen. It was Bron’s Smackdown debut match after signing a contract earlier in the night.
Match #3: New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) defeated The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh). Damian Priest & Finn Balor of The Judgment Day tried to attack Dunne & Bate post match, but Dunne & Bate got away.
There was another backstage segment involving The Bloodline.
Match #4: Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) defeated The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). Karrion Kross interfered to help AOP win. After the match, Lashley attacked Kross for revenge, but Kross smashed Lashley’s elbow into the ring post a couple of times and then hit the arm with a chair while it was against the post.
Match #5: Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight ended in a No Contest. Logan Paul and Kevin Owens were on commentary for the match since they are in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match along with Drew and Knight. The finish to this match saw McIntyre get tossed into Paul and McIntyre returned the favor by tossing Knight into Owens afterwards. This led to Owens attacking McIntyre and a brawl breaking out with Knight and Paul joining in, which led to the No Contest finish.
Bobby Lashley came out to join the brawl, which ended with Lashley spearing everyone except McIntyre, who nailed Lashley with a Claymore Kick. Randy Orton also came out and hit McIntyre with an RKO. Orton stood tall to end the show.
