WWE SmackDown Ratings Rise Slightly, Claiming #1 Spot On Cable TV

WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown experienced an uptick in ratings on October 24.

After RAW made its Netflix debut on January 6, 2025, the promotion announced that the blue brand would also get an extra hour to cover more storylines.

However, in an already saturated market, the move was unsuccessful, forcing the company to revert to its two-hour broadcast time.

While some reports suggested the move was executed following low ratings, conflicting reports suggested that WWE failed to generate any revenue from the extra hour.

Nevertheless, a recent update brings good news for the Stamford promotion, as its October 24 taping witnessed a slight rise in ratings on cable as compared to Game 1 of the World Series.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, while the number of female viewers saw no change, male viewers for WWE grew from 242,000 to 256,000.

Statistically, it was SmackDown’s largest audience in the specific age demographic since September 26.

WrestleMania 34 Rematch Announced For WWE SmackDown

The October 30 episode of WWE SmackDown comes from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The show will contain a power-packed line-up, with a WrestleMania 34 rematch on the cards.

Last week, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte were featured in a backstage segment with Nia Jax interrupting and trying to cause friction between them.

However, the Women’s Tag Team Champions did not let the negativity get the best of them.

Instead, Bliss issued a challenge to Jax, reviving their rivalry around WrestleMania 34, which culminated in a match between them.

While Jax had beaten Bliss then, it will be interesting to see if the 34-year-old star can pull something out of her sleeves to cause an upset this time around.

Also, Ilja Dragunov will continue with his United States Championship open challenge, whereas Carmelo Hayes will face Kit Wilson in a singles match.
