WWE Management Set The Record Straight At Another Talent Meeting

Vince McMahon WWE

According to a new report, WWE management has held another talent meeting and debunked a rumour that had done the rounds about the company’s future.

2023 has been a turbulent year so far for WWE with Vince McMahon forcing his way back onto the Board of Directors in a shock move. That prompted Stephanie McMahon to resign from her roles as company Chairwoman and co-CEO with suggestions that she had issues working with her father.

Vince McMahon was then installed as Executive Chairman before reports suggested that WWE was on the brink of being sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. Those reports turned out to be false but it is believed the PIF is still “in the hunt” to buy the promotion in the future.

A meeting of WWE staff was held after Vince McMahon returned to the Board with Stephanie McMahon touting it being business as usual in the company just days before her own resignation. The timing of those events left a WWE Hall of Famer “sincerely disappointed.”

Now Fightful Select has reported that another meeting for WWE talent – following one on Friday – was held on the afternoon of the 16th of January ahead of Monday Night Raw. The meeting was led by Triple H, Kevin Dunn, and the EVP of Talent, Dan Ventrelle.

Word from the meeting was that Triple H is still in charge of creative in his role as Chief Content Officer and that the talent relations department is not undergoing any changes. Management was also said to have debunked the rumour of a sale, setting the record straight that the company was not on the verge of being sold to the Saudis.

Of course, while these things remain the same for now, there is always a chance that Vince McMahon can insert himself into the day-to-day business of the company, including creative, at any time he chooses.
