Backstage WWE Reaction To Wyatt Sicks Raw Debut Revealed

Triple H WWE Raw

WWE Raw might never be the same.

After weeks of teases at live events, on social media, and on WWE television, Uncle Howdy made his stunning return on the June 17th episode of Raw. Naturally, the mysterious figure didn’t come alone.

At the end of the show, the lights went out and Nikki Cross crawled through Bray Wyatt’s famous doorway up to a lantern before pointing backstage. The scene that greeted the camera crew was one of bloody chaos, with bodies lying throughout the backstage area.

A masked Erick Rowan was seen clutching Wyatt’s mallet as he stood over bloodied WWE stars. As the tour continued, both Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy – both masked – were found as well with a close-up of Chad Gable showing blood oozing from the side of his head.

That led to the big reveal of Uncle Howdy himself who walked through the carnage and was followed by his group where he announced “We’re here” before blowing out Bray Wyatt’s lantern.

WWE Pleased With Chaotic Raw Ending

A new report from Fightful Select has now given an update on the group and the backstage reaction to their wild debut. Although the group is yet to be named on television or on social media, it’s made up of Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacey.

The group reportedly won’t interact with every storyline on Raw, but their arrival will have big ramifications for those on the Red brand. Furthermore, those attacked or left alone were deliberately chosen for “specific reasons.”

Fightful reiterates there are no supernatural elements planned for the new group. One WWE figure stated, “You can’t beat ghosts with wrestling moves.”

WWE sources were “over the moon,” about the reaction from the Corpus Christi crowd throughout the night, as they’d traditionally been on the quieter side. With regard to the new faction specifically, the company is “very happy” with how the segment unfolded and how it was received.
