WWE Raw Star Cleared To Return To The Ring

Johnny Gargano last competed in a WWE ring back at NXT Stand & Deliver when he defeated Grayson Waller in an unsanctioned match.

While that win left Gargano with a measure of revenge for the attack that sent him out of WWE at the end of 2021, it also left him nursing a shoulder injury which kept him out of action for a few weeks.

Now, it looks like the former NXT Champion is cleared to return to the ring after he wrestled on live events, losing to Intercontinental Champion Gunther on consecutive nights. Johnny Gargano’s return might well have come at the right time if he wants to continue battling Gunther with a number one contender’s battle royal for the Intercontinental Title set for Raw.

Things are looking up for Gargano with his popular NXT group The Way reunited – minus Austin Theory – on Raw thanks to the WWE Draft. Although, Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae appeared less than thrilled by Gargano’s assertion that a certain “he” was on his way back to WWE following injury issues as well.

Also on Raw in Greensboro will be WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defending their gold against Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville as well as The Miz taking on Shinsuke Nakamura.
