WWE Raw Expected To Very Heavily Promote Upcoming NXT

Expect to see multiple NXT advertising spots on an upcoming episode of WWE Raw.

October 10th is set to be a big night in wrestling, with both NXT and Dynamite airing at the same time. With both shows battling for ratings, WWE will do all they can to make sure that their Raw audience returns en masse 24 hours later.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that while there was a lot of promotion for the Tuesday night show on October 2nd, the following week will likely see “the heaviest ever” advertising of the third brand:

They’re going to try. I mean, both companies are loading up. And the reason is, is for this, I mean, it’s a real competition. And I mean, the thing I expect very heavy promotion of NXT on Raw next Monday, probably the heaviest ever, because this Monday was pretty heavy. But I think next Monday will be well for sure It’ll be heavier, it’ll be probably the heaviest ever and I would expect more big roster names on that show next week. That, you know, will get announced on Monday.

Why Are WWE & AEW Going Head-To-Head?

AEW Dynamite did not choose to move from their usual Wednesday night timeslot to directly compete with their biggest rival. The AEW flagship show was bumped from its regular slot on TBS due to the MLB playoffs taking precedence over All Elite Wrestling. Both promotions have promised loaded cards for the upcoming clash, with NXT promoting an appearance by John Cena and AEW announcing big matches for their “Title Tuesday” special.
