WWE Working On Post-Retirement John Cena Project
John Cena has been the talk of the town ever since his Farewell Tour concluded on December 13th, 2025.
The 17-time World Champion worked his final match against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He tapped out against The Ring General, which made fans question the booking. Nevertheless, Never Seen 17 has claimed that he will not return for another match.
WWE has begun working on a new project with John Cena
The Champ, despite being retired from in-ring wrestling, will be associated with WWE. He has signed a five-year ambassador contract with the global juggernaut and will represent the company outside the squared circle.
Furthermore, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has revealed that the Stamford-based promotion is working on a new documentary that is focused on John Cena’s retirement run. The documentary is supposed to be released sometime in mid-2026.
Supposedly, documentary crews were present at Capital One Arena on December 13th, and Peacock could be the platform for the release. However, no concrete news of that has yet been revealed.
Prior to his final match, WWE posted a tribute video for John Cena where other superstars either paid their respect via words written on a paper or did the Five-Knuckle Shuffle to honor him.
