Update On WWE Plans For Toxic Attraction On Main Roster
An update has been provided in terms of what WWE has planned for what remains of the Toxic Attraction group: Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne.
The Toxic Attraction trio of former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne dominated the NXT women’s division towards the end of 2021 and most of 2022 as well.
Mandy Rose was the leader of the group that had a 413-day reign as NXT Women’s Championship reign that ended on December 13th when Roxanne Perez beat Rose for the title. The next day, WWE fired Rose for posting explicit content on her FanTime subscriber page, which is against WWE policy and the company felt they had no choice but to fire her. Rose’s agent claims that the former NXT Women’s Champion made about $500,000 in just a week after her release.
With Rose gone from WWE, at least for now, that leaves Toxic Attraction with just two women in the group: Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. On this past Tuesday’s NXT broadcast, Dolin & Jayne were shown in the “Toxic Lounge” with Gigi saying that people are wondering what their next move is. Jacy said they’ll rebuild, reconstruct and return to glory. They said they were going after Perez.
In an update on their WWE status, Dave Meltzer addressed Toxic Attraction on Wrestling Observer Radio:
“It’s what they have to do. They have to get past it. The plan was to call them up to the main roster without her anyway.”
As Meltzer noted, WWE has planned to call up Dolin & Jayne to the main roster going back to August, but that has obviously been put on hold.
Considering the lack of actual women’s tag teams on the WWE main roster, it does make logical sense for Toxic Attraction to be on Raw or Smackdown soon considering all the success they had in NXT.
