Seth Rollins’ luck turned sour at Crown Jewel 2025 when he battled Cody Rhodes for the Champion vs. Champion match.

While The Visionary secured the victory to become the 2nd Men’s Crown Jewel Champion, he had to forfeit the World Heavyweight Championship owing to an injury he suffered at the event.

When news of the injury surfaced, fans and WWE backstage weren’t sure what to believe, considering what Seth Rollins pulled off with a fake injury at SummerSlam 2025. However, this time it seems real.

Seth Rollins has suffered a legit injury

On Monday Night RAW, Adam Pearce announced that he had to strip The Visionary of the title because of the injury caused by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed (kayfabe), and conducted a Battle Royal to choose the opponent who would face CM Punk for the vacated title.

Of course, Rollins pulling off another ruse at this point is still a possibility, but wrestling journalist Bill Apter believes its a legit injury since WWE had more plans with the former World Heavyweight Champion and The Vision. He gave his opinion of the situation on The Wrestling Time Machine on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge.

I think it’s definitely a legit injury. I definitely do because they had a lot of plans for Seth Rollins to move forward with that title and probably defend it against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, the Brons. But that’s not going to happen right now. That’ll happen down the line.

It has been revealed that the global juggernaut did pivot from original plans when it had The Vision members attack Seth Rollins on the RAW after Crown Jewel 2025.
