WWE Allegedly Planning Major Championship Change At SNME
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI is only a few hours away from kicking off.
Held inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, the event will feature four matches, all for different titles.
Despite being a non-premium live event show, it is bound to set up future storylines due to the grandeur of the belts on the line.
One such gold is the Women’s WWE Championship held by Tiffany Stratton.
Stratton has held the title since January 3, 2025. On that SmackDown show, she cashed in the Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax, who was her ally.
Since then, she has defended it successfully on multiple occasions. Stratton also suffered her first loss of 2025 at Crown Jewel, falling to Stephanie Vaquer.
On last week’s SmackDown, she was attacked by Jade Cargill, with whom she had teamed up a few weeks ago.
Cargill also features on the list of opponents Stratton has defeated while defending her championship.
WWE Women’s Championship Could Change Hands At SNME
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long discussed the Saturday Night’s Main Event card while speaking on a recent The Wrestling Time Machine podcast.
The 78-year-old expressed an interest in the Tiffany Stratton-Jade Cargill match, while praising the latter’s heel transition. He also predicted that now may be the best time to put the belt on her.
She [Jade Cargill] is a phenomenal athlete, and I had the chance to work with her before she got to the top, before she even went to [WWE]. She was in the wrestling school there in Atlanta. I had the chance to talk to her. What a nice girl. She has a great look, and her skills in the ring have become absolutely great. I believe they’re going to run with her now. They already are pushing her. She’s had a few setbacks but I think if she’s over some of that other stuff she was involved with, I think it’s her time.
