WWE NXT Sees Major Heel Turn
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Carmelo Hayes ascended to the top of the brand as he defeated Bron Breakker to capture the NXT Championship but that win has not come without cost.
A gallant Breakker handed Hayes the title belt following his defeat and raised the new champion’s hand. That spirit of respect was seemingly on show towards the end of NXT on the 4th of April when Carmelo Hayes came to the ring to discuss his victory.
Hayes asked Breakker to join him in the ring as he thanked the former champion and wished him all the best as he did not know where Breakker’s future lies. There have been rumours that the second-generation star will be called up to the WWE main roster in the coming weeks but that remains to be seen.
Breakker paid tribute to the man who defeated him and raised his hand again but this time something snapped inside Bron Breakker and he attacked the new champion. Trick Williams – who nailed Breakker with a title belt during his match with Hayes at Stand & Deliver – tried to intervene but was also on the wrong side of a beatdown for his troubles.

It’s been a bad week for beloved stars of WWE following WrestleMania 39. On Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes thought he’d found a friend and tag team partner for the night in Brock Lesnar but you can never trust a beast and Lesnar viciously attacked Rhodes to close out Monday’s show.
