WWE Planning New Nickname For Roman Reigns When He Returns

Roman Reigns may be returning to WWE soon and there will be a new nickname for the former champion.

Over the last four years, Roman Reigns went on the best run of his WWE career. The 1,316-day reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion gets the most attention, but it was Roman’s ability to elevate others that stood out.

While Reigns deserves a lot of credit for promos, matches and performances, his time as the “Tribal Chief” helped make other WWE superstars around him better.

In addition to the “Tribal Chief” nickname, Reigns was also known as the Head of the Table, which was another way of saying he ran things in WWE.

Ever since he lost the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40 in April, Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE television. Reigns also experienced a personal loss while away from WWE because his Hall of Fame father Sika passed away in June.

Will Roman Reigns Return At WWE SummerSlam?

The Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam on August 3rd will see Cody Rhodes defend the gold against Solo Sikoa, who has been calling himself the Tribal Chief without Roman Reigns around. This has led to a furious response from WWE fans, who like to chant “We Want Roman” at all times.

It is being reported by WretleVotes on Twitter/X that WWE’s plan is to call Reigns “The Original Tribal Chief” for his “impending return” which could come at SummerSlam.

With the impending return of Roman Reigns, sources state one of the discussed ideas is focused around Reigns claiming to be “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟” in response to the last few months of Solo Sikoa’s proclamations.

It has not been confirmed if Roman Reigns will return at SummerSlam perhaps to get involved in the Cody Rhodes-Solo Sikoa match, but there are some people who believe it will happen.
