Roman Reigns Responds To His Haters

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has some thoughts on the people who criticize him despite his legendary run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

At WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns will wrestle on back-to-back nights. On Saturday, April 6th at WrestleMania 40 Night 1, Reigns is teaming with The Rock against Cody Rhodes and the World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

That massive tag team match will lead into WrestleMania 40 Night 2 when Roman Reigns defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes, whom Reigns beat last year at WrestleMania.

For over 1300+ days and nearly four years, Reigns has dominated WWE with one of the most impressive Universal Championship reigns ever. However, Reigns also works a reduced schedule that saw him only defend the championship a handful of times in 2023 and only once in 2024 so far at the Royal Rumble.

Due to his reduced schedule that sees Reigns wrestle far less than top WWE stars like Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and others, Reigns is hated by some fans more than just because he’s the top bad guy in all of World Wrestling Entertainment. Many fans think that Reigns doesn’t deserve to remain champion due to that reduced schedule.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Reigns made it clear that his haters are stupid.

“I’m going to give you my simple truth, but people can be stupid. Let them do what they want, it’s fine, it’s worked out great, we’re not complaining at all. The checks are crazy and they are coming in. We’ll keep doing what we do and we don’t care what they think because it’s the truth.”

“I put my family on my back, I put this company on my back. Why not share the spotlight and make everybody better? These four years are a testament to it. We’re the greatest.”

It certainly is true that WWE as a business is doing well with Reigns on top and that certainly could play a part in who wins those WrestleMania 40 matches.

Does Roman Reigns Plan To Stop Wrestling Soon?

The interview also featured a discussion about the Tribal Chief’s future in WWE. That led to Roman Reigns making it clear he has a lot of years left.

Yeah, I’m just scratching the surface. I’m still experimenting and figuring stuff out. I’m 38 years young. I’m a young man and have so much stuff to do. If we were able to do this in four years, imagine what we can conquer in another decade. The work has been put in. The skin still looks good. I don’t see it stopping anytime.

We’re about to set more records WrestleMania weekend with the main events. We’re chasing landmarks and different history marks with the title reign. There is so much history left to make. I don’t see it ever ending.

During the Roman Reigns-Cody Rhodes face to face on Smackdown in Milwaukee, Reigns refused to shake Cody’s hand while also teasing an attack from The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa. However, Cody Rhodes had backup too since Seth Rollins and Jey Uso appeared at ringside.
