WWE News: Robert Roode and Primo Colon Suspended 30 Days for Wellness Policy Violations
There are two WWE Wellness Policy violations to report today because Robert Roode and Primo Colon have been suspended 30 days each for Wellness Policy Violations. The news was first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet.
There is also this statement by WWE on their corporate website:
STAMFORD, CONN., December 10, 2019 – WWE has suspended Eddie Colón (Primo) and Robert Roode each for 30 days effective immediately, for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
Roode’s last appearance on WWE TV was on Smackdown two weeks ago when he and Dolph Ziggler were beaten up by Roman Reigns. The scene ended with Roode getting the announce table dumped on him. Roode wasn’t on Smackdown last week perhaps because WWE knew of his violation. Roode is 42 years old and debuted in WWE in 2016 after spending over a decade working for TNA/Impact Wrestling.
Primo Colon has been off WWE TV this year has been working for his father’s promotion in Puerto Rico. Primo and his cousin Epico are still under WWE deals. Primo has been working for WWE since signing a developmental deal in 2007. He will turn 37 years old later this month.
TJR Thoughts: There are not a lot of suspensions in WWE anymore, but here we go with two of them. Roode has been a role player on Smackdown of late, but now we won’t see him back on TV until next year. Primo has been gone from WWE TV for a very long time, so there are probably fans that figured he was out of the company.
