Elbow Grease will tell the story of the titular monster truck overcoming struggles through hardwork. Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of Penguin Random House:
“Meet Elbow Grease, a little monster truck with a big problem! He’s smaller than his four brothers, but wants to prove that he has the guts and the grit to do big things. He decides that entering the Demolition Derby is the perfect way to show everyone that what he lacks in horsepower he makes up for in gumption. From multi-talented mega celebrity John Cena comes this exciting story about the importance of believing in yourself and never giving up. Full of high-octane illustrations and a new character kids will cheer for, this fun and fast-paced book proves that a little Elbow Grease . . . can go a long way!”
John Cena’s Elbow Grease is due to release on October 9, 2018.
Tommy’s Thoughts: We’ve known for a while that his name can sell anything to children. John Cena continues to load up his resume outside of the WWE Universe, ensuring his stranglehold of all things PG whether it’s WWE, Nickelodeon, or your local library. I wonder how many plugs we’ll be getting for Elbow Grease on Raw and Smackdown come this summer? Might as well start brainstorming now for the Elbow Grease Drinking Game.
