WWE Eyeing Potential Move For Current AEW Talent

Triple H WWE Tony Khan AEW

WWE wants to hire AEW talent. The star in question is Danhausen.

The last time the fans saw Very Nice, Very Evil on AEW TV was at the Worlds End 2023 Zero Hour battle royal on December 30, 2023. According to the reports, his AEW contract is now set to expire around February 2026.

His original deal was believed to end in July 2025, but AEW added injury time from his 2023 torn pectoral, extending it into early 2026 despite his preference to let it lapse.

AEW has no current creative plans for him, and he has not been backstage for a long time. Despite his absence from Tony Khan’s promotion, he remains active on the independents (GCW, AIW, Prestige, etc.).

AEW Star Danhausen Might Land In WWE

A few weeks ago, WrestleVotes reported that WWE is planning to offer a contract to Danhausen after his AEW contract expires. The report read:

I know there are people there who want him to come over, and I also know there are people there who aren’t very keen on him or his talents. I’m sure there will be an offer—he’s talented and he’s over. But I know some people there just don’t get it, and that’s fair. So we’ll see. I don’t think him coming over is a done deal yet. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select released a new report confirming that WWE is indeed interested in signing the AEW star after his current deal runs out. It was also noted that WWE thinks he’d be a great addition to the NXT roster.
