WWE Star Desperate To Slap Michael Cole Around

A WWE superstar has made it clear he wants to get his hands on Michael Cole due to comments made by the legendary announcer.

As the “Voice of WWE” for over 25 years, Michael Cole has been ringside to call big matches featuring many of the greatest superstars of all time. There have also been times in Cole’s career when he has shown a bias against some of those superstars.

On the current WWE roster, perhaps the wrestler who Cole criticizes the most is Dominik Mysterio. That’s because Dominink turned on his WWE Hall of Fame father Rey Mysterio in September 2022 and ever since then, Cole has taken shots at “Dirty” Dom for being a disrespectful punk.

Dominik Mysterio is very aware of the hate spewed by Cole, so he told Insight’s Chris Van Vliet in a recent interview that he would like to

“Do you have a bleep button on this? F*ck Michael Cole! He is the most biased person I have ever met. He does nothing but absolutely trash on my name every time I get on TV. He does nothing but boo me, trash talk me. Even when I’m not there he talks bad about me. This man has done nothing but bash me, and I feel like I’m the best, but that is what it is.

[What does he have against you?] I don’t know. Again, he’s probably jealous. He’s losing his hair and I’m gaining it over here. I’d love a one-on-one with Michael. He’s undefeated at WrestleMania. I’d love to slap around Michael Cole.”

Dominik Mysterio Also Threatens Michael Cole’s Commentary Partner Pat McAfee

Another WWE announcer who has criticized Dominik heavily is Pat McAfee, who is the broadcast partner of Cole from January to August when McAfee isn’t on ESPN college football duty. Dominik recalled how Cole and McAfee reacted at SummerSlam when Dominik turned on Rhea Ripley and kissed Liv Morgan after the match.

“Two old bastards. You think Cole does it alone? Pat calls me dumb, dumb when he says it. I’d love to get in the ring with Pat. I don’t think he has the balls to, but that’s why he’s sticking to announcing now, but whatever, if Pat wants it, he knows where I am.”

Michael Cole is currently WWE SmackDown’s play-by-play announcer with Corey Graves by his side. In January 2025 when Raw heads to Netflix, Cole is expected to return to the red brand with McAfee as the commentary team.
