WWE Announce Massive Ladder Match For WrestleMania 40
WWE is giving the fans what they want and bringing a ladder match back to WrestleMania in the biggest way possible.
The WWE Tag Team Championship had pride of place at WrestleMania 39 as a match for that title headlined the event for the first time ever. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defeated The Usos in a classic for the gold on that occasion and this time the tag teams of WWE will have the chance to steal the show all over again.
On Raw in Houston, Texas, Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis had promised a huge announcement and they duly delivered. Together they revealed that the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship will be defended in the biggest ladder match in WrestleMania history as six teams compete for the gold.
Finn Balor and Damian Priest will put their gold on the line against five other teams that will be decided via a series of qualifying matches in the lead-up to WrestleMania.

When Did WWE Have Its Last Ladder Match At WrestleMania?
The last WrestleMania ladder match will surely go down as one of the most bizarre ones in history. At WrestleMania 36 held in front of no fans due to the pandemic John Morrison, Jimmy Uso, and Kofi Kingston competed by themselves in a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship which Morrison retained.
Ladder matches had become a fixture at WrestleMania thanks to the invention of the Money In The Bank before that became the staple of its own premium live event.
Perhaps the most famous ladder match in WrestleMania history is the very first one held on the grandest stage of them all. In 1994 Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels competed in an instant classic for the Intercontinental Championship that saw Ramon leave WrestleMania 10 with the gold.
