WWE Making Big Plans For Penta At WrestleMania
Former AEW Tag Team Champion Penta arrived in WWE to huge fanfare and now it seems his new company is planning big things for him at WrestleMania.
Penta made his highly-anticipated WWE debut on the January 13 edition of Raw, defeating Chad Gable in a little over 13 minutes. After the match, the star cut a passionate promo where he declared that his arrival represented the dawn of a new era.
WWE had spent several weeks hyping the debut, with Michael Cole even describing his signing on commentary as the worst-kept secret in the industry.
Prior to signing with WWE, Penta had been a major part of AEW from 2019 through the early part of 2024. He and his brother Rey Fenix won the World Tag Team, and World Trios Titles during this period, feuding with the likes of The Young Bucks and FTR.
But it seems WWE might have bigger things planned for Penta’s future.
Penta Set For Major WrestleMania Showcase?
Dr Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda has revealed that WWE apparently has “big plans” for Penta in the lead-up to WrestleMania 41. Penta is also said to be in for an impressive performance in the upcoming Royal Rumble match which might well play into his WrestleMania plans.
While Penta is not among the favourites to win the Rumble match itself, he could be factored in as 2025’s Iron Man – the star who spends the longest in the match. The men’s Iron Man in 2024 was Jey Uso who later in the year captured the Intercontinental Title and solidified his place as one of WWE’s most popular stars.
