WWE Make Huge Title Match For NXT Debut

Ethan Page WWE NXT

WWE has confirmed that a huge title match will take place when NXT make its debut on the CW Network on October 1st.

No Mercy saw Ethan Page defend his NXT Championship against TNA star Joe Hendry with former champion Trick Williams acting as the special guest referee.

However before that match got underway, NXT General Manager Ava had confirmed that whoever emerged as champion would have a big title match ahead of them as the NXT Championship will be on the line when NXT moves to the CW Network on October 1st.

Ultimately, it was Ethan Page who retained his championship in Denver as he nailed Joe Hendry with an Ego’s Edge with Trick Williams counting the pinfall. After the match, Pete Dunne dragged Williams to the floor and hit him with the Bitter End before staring down the NXT Champion.

Big Changes Coming To WWE

The last few months of 2024 will see major changes coming to WWE programming as NXT is not the only show on the move. SmackDown will end its five-year tenure on FOX to move to the USA Network.

Monday Night Raw will remain with the USA Network throughout the rest of the year before WWE’s flagship show makes its $5 billion move to Netflix on January 6th 2025.
