It looks like WWE will be heading far from home once again with a report saying the company will be holding a major international event in early 2023.

2022 will be remembered for a lot of reasons in the wrestling world. The return of Stone Cold Steve Austin to the ring, the return to WWE of Cody Rhodes, the rise and rise of Logan Paul, the All Out fight between CM Punk and The Young Bucks, and of course, the retirement of Vince McMahon.

But for fans in the UK, the year will be fondly remembered as the year WWE returned across the pond to produce a stadium show, with Clash at the Castle filling the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales in early September.

In recent years the company has produced several massive international shows in Saudi Arabia as part of a ten-year agreement with the Middle Eastern Kingdom. The latest of those saw Roman Reigns retain his WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel.

Now Sportskeeda has reported that an event “on a grand scale” is will take place in Hyderabad, with the likeliest date for the event being Wednesday, January 18th. While nothing is confirmed and no WWE Superstars have been announced for the show, it is believed Drew McIntyre is “a lock” to appear given his own recent venture to India.

In January 2021 WWE produced Superstar Spectacle for the Indian market, with the show airing on the country’s Republic Day on January 26th. That show hosted a main event of McIntyre and Indus Sher defeating Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz.
