WWE Legend Wanted To Stay In TNA To Wrestle Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan Reveals How Working In Music Prepared Him For Pro Wrestling Success

A WWE Hall of Famer missed out on a match with Hulk Hogan.

Like many aging WWE legends in the 2000s, Mick Foley and Hulk Hogan both eventually found their way to TNA Wrestling. Foley joined the company in 2008, before being joined by Hogan a year later.

Although Hogan’s run with the company alongside Eric Bischoff is regularly the subject of scorn from fans, Foley did manage to win the World Championship, despite his occasionally spiky relationship with the promotion.

During a new interview with CasinoBeats, Mick Foley was asked about never getting to share the ring with Hulk Hogan despite starting his career in 1986 and competing until 2010.

Although there was very real heat between Foley and Hogan at one point, the Hardcore Legend admitted he wishes he could have stayed in TNA longer to tick off the milestone.

I did a couple of in-ring promos with Hulk, and it is a big deal. I think there’s two types of people in the wrestling world; those who will admit that it’s a big deal to be in the ring with him, and those who lie about it. And it makes me wish that I had stayed in Impact Wrestling just a few months longer, because I think if Hulk and I had had a match, we could have had a pretty good match.

I mean, it would’ve been a little on the methodical side, but I believe we could have told his story and gotten a great reaction out of it.

During the same interview, Mick Foley heaped praise on AEW star Will Ospreay, tipping him to take his game to even greater heights.

Hulk Hogan Facing Legal Battle

While Foley is currently enjoying his retirement, Hulk Hogan has found himself wrapped up in yet another controversy.

During an event at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio, on August 19, 2024, to promote his new American Made beer, Hulk Hogan and his crew threw cans of the beverage into the crowd. According to a report at the time, a woman was hit by one of these cans and knocked to the ground.

The woman involved has since filed a lawsuit against Hogan and his beer company.
