WWE Legend Believes Triple H Has Greatest Mind Ever
One of WWE’s biggest stars thinks that Triple H is the greatest mind in pro wrestling history.
The legacy of Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been a hot topic in WWE since he’s going to be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame in Las Vegas on April 18th.
As a pro wrestler, Triple H was one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time in a career that started in 1995 (before that in other places) and lasted over 25 years as an in-ring performer. During his run, Triple H was known as one of the best heels in WWE history, who went on to win 14 WWE World Titles in his career.
In his current role as WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H runs the creative team on the main roster. Throughout the 2010s, he was running NXT, and many people considered those shows better than Raw & SmackDown when he was in charge. A lot of people from NXT are now on the WWE main roster, so Triple H has had a huge influence on their careers.
Randy Orton goes back a long way with Triple H from when they were in the Evolution stable in 2003-2004. Orton learned a lot from Triple H as an ally, and the two men went on to wrestle each other many times in the years after, including WrestleMania main event matches and numerous WWE World Title matches.
While speaking on a WWE digital video talking about advice from Triple H, Randy Orton praised his former mentor, former opponent and now current boss for having a great wrestling mind.
“When I think of Triple H, I think of the greatest mind this business has ever seen. You hear about, you know, the goats, the boats, you know, the greatest of all time. I really think Triple H could be the greatest, definitely top three greatest in-ring performers of all time. But it doesn’t just stop there.
What Hunter is amazing at is helping other talent. He helped me at a very young age, stated as a fact that if it wasn’t for Triple H seeing something in me when I was 21, 22 years old, things that I didn’t even see in myself, I wouldn’t be standing here today speaking on this topic.
He’s an amazing in-ring performer, but his contributions outside of the ring, what he does for the show now that he’s running creative, hands down, just the greatest mind. I know I can go to him at any time and ask him his advice. 10 times out of 10, he’s thinking, of things that I hadn’t even pondered.
Talking about promos, talking about matches, anything to do with this business. That man, he knows the answer. That’s a few of the reasons, just a few, of why Triple H definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame.”
Gunther Thinks That Triple H Saved Pro Wrestling
The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther also praised Triple H in a recent interview for the way he saved wrestling by giving opportunities to wrestlers like Gunther and other European stars.
“I would say, to a degree, and obviously he’s my boss and I’m in a very good position in the company right now, but I think to a certain degree that he saved professional wrestling to a big degree.
I remember when I started in 2005. All the Europeans trying to get into WWE was such a mystery about it. Who to talk to and what to do. It seemed so far away and such an unrealistic point to achieve. Hunter was the one who pushed for opening that world to WWE and created so much jobs and opportunities back then for so many of the European guys.
He opened the floodgates for the wrestling world outside of WWE, and I think the change has been very positive. It was a big achievement. The business changed since then and it changed to the better. It’s the hottest that it is right now.
It all started back then when he started NXT and started working more with guys the work the indies and stuff like that. I’ve always had a really good relationship with Hunter.”
Triple H was recently on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he explained why he enjoyed his WrestleMania 12 match with The Ultimate Warrior even though he lost in under two minutes.
