WWE Legend Steve Austin Could Make Stunning In-Ring Return

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin could wrestle again.

At WrestleMania 19, Steve Austin walked backstage following a defeat to The Rock, knowing that his career was over. However, as long-time fans know, in the world of pro wrestling, retirements mean nothing.

Despite repeatedly insisting he was happily retired and turning down several offers to make a comeback, Austin finally laced up his boots against WrestleMania 38. In the main event of night one, Austin took on and beat Kevin Owens in a wild No Holds Barred Match.

Although he hadn’t wrestled for the best part of two decades, Austin rolled back the years, impressing fans and industry insiders alike.

Since then, Austin has resisted the temptation to wrestle again and underwent knee surgery, which ruled out getting physical at WrestleMania 41. However, another comeback could be on the cards.

Steve Austin Open To In-Ring Comeback

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Austin told “more than one” person during WrestleMania 41 weekend that he “might have one more in him.” Multiple people noted that he was at least open to an in-ring return under the right circumstances.

Several wrestlers have approached management about a potential match with Austin in recent years, while CM Punk’s name has been “tossed around” internally.

The report reiterated that Austin was approached about taking on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, but the match obviously didn’t end up happening.

Back in May, Steve Austin admitted he’d be open to competing in an exhibition match, but claimed he was at peace with never wrestling again.
