WWE Legend Pulls Out Of Saturday Night’s Main Event
A WWE Hall of Famer will not be appearing at the Saturday Night’s Main Event return.
It has been announced that WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura will appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Long Island, NY on the commentary team. Along with Ventura, several other WWE Hall of Famers and legends are expected to be at the SNME show.
Some of the Hall of Famers who are scheduled to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event are Jimmy Hart, Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, and Koko B. Ware.
Ted DiBiase is another WWE Hall of Famer who was going to be part of Saturday Night’s Main Event, but Dominic DeAngelo of SEScoops reports that Dibiase won’t be appearing at the show.
The reason for Ventura being there along with other Hall of Famers is because the company is feeling nostalgic with the SNME name, which has been evident by the commercials for the show using the classic “Obsession” theme song.
Hulk Hogan is also rumored to be at Saturday Night’s Main Event as well, but that hasn’t been confirmed or promoted by WWE as of this writing.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event To Feature Four Title Matches
While the nostalgia at Saturday Night’s Main Event will be fun for fans watching at home, there will also be four huge title matches along with a Drew McIntyre-Sami Zayn grudge match. The SNME card is below.
- Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship
- Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor – World Heavyweight Championship
- Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky – Women’s World Championship
- Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
- Women’s United States Title Tournament Finals
The semifinals of the Women’s US Title tournament will be on SmackDown in Hartford with Bayley facing Chelsea Green and Michin in action against Tiffany Stratton.
