WWE Legend Says Rhea Ripley Is In Another League
A legendary female wrestler has praised Rhea Ripley for being in another league as a WWE superstar.
Rhea Ripley has been the Women’s World Champion for nearly one year as she approaches a huge WrestleMania showdown with Becky Lynch.
The dominant reign of Rhea Ripley recently saw her defeat a tough opponent in Nia Jax during the main event of Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. That was a night that Ripley will never forget since it was in her home country and she was the most popular wrestler on the show.
Ripley is not a traditional babyface in terms of how she acts and how she’s portrayed on television, but she is by far the most popular member of The Judgment Day group that she is a part of. Ripley is joined in the group by WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest along with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh.
Due to her status as a top star, a lot of people often talk about how talented Ripley is as she continues her dominant run.
In an interview with Brioux TV, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus praised Ripley as a performer.
“Right now, I’m really loving Rhea Ripley. She’s in a whole other league. She brings so much and people love to hate her. When you’re a bad guy, but the crowd is loving you so much that they want to cheer you, that’s a special thing that you have that je ne sais quoi. She definitely has that. She’s worked really hard to be where she is right now and she’s on a great journey.”
“Her trajectory has been really fun to watch and I was able to see it firsthand. She loves the business so much. She was waiting….there are times in wrestling where you think it’s not going to hit. She tried other characters, she did things where it would be time where the storyline wasn’t going or there was no storyline at all.”
“I remember they were here for a live event in Toronto and they had nothing for her. She was like, ‘I don’t know what they’re going to do with me.’ Now she’s one of the longest reigning champions. I really enjoy watching her. She’s been great.”
Rhea Ripley Nominated For Multiple WWE Slammy Awards
The WWE Slammy Awards are coming back and Rhea Ripley was nominated for three awards. Ripley was nominated for having the Best Entrance and also the WWE Match of the Year with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39.
In addition to that, Rhea Ripley is also nominated for Female Superstar of the Year, which is an award that she would likely be considered the heavy favourite to win.
