WWE Legend Claims Logan Paul Is On The Same Level As Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar & Logan Paull split

One of WWE’s most highly acclaimed stars believes Logan Paul should be considered on the same level as Brock Lesnar.

Kurt Angle enjoyed one of the most impressive rookie years of any WWE Superstar in history, winning championship gold at every turn, the King of the Ring tournament, and even the WWE Title. This run has arguably only ever been topped by Brock Lesnar, who was WWE’s youngest-ever World Champion just five months after making his main roster debut.

However, Angle now believes that Logan Paul deserves to be looked at in the same light.

Speaking on the True Geordie Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer admitted he underestimated Paul at first, but has since become a huge fan.

“At first, I was like, ‘Yeah, he’s a YouTuber. He’s just trying to get fame.’ But he was producing, winning fights and then he goes to the WWE and shows his athleticism, and it’s like, ‘Whoa, this kid has it. Why did this kid start out with YouTube? Be a pro boxer when he was younger and or a pro wrestler. This kid has the ability to be those all those all the above.’

And watching him, I’m literally impressed by his skills, and I’m really happy for him. He just won the US Title. I think that’s a great accomplishment for only wrestling your eighth match. I will tell you this: I won the Intercontinental Title wrestling my ninth match, so I know the feeling.

He’s on that level with me and Brock [Lesnar]. I mean he really is. And I think if he continues on and he has more experience because he’s not quite experienced enough yet, I think if he gets more experience, he’s going to be really, really good. And I think he’ll end up being world champion.”

Logan Paul Takes Blame For Rey Mysterio Incident

In his most recent WWE outing, Paul won the United States Title at Crown Jewel after getting the better of Rey Mysterio. Following the match, Paul received praise on social media for ‘saving’ Mysterio, by catching him when he was seemingly about to land on his head.

However, on his podcast, Logan Paul took responsibility for the incident, explaining that he was actually too far away from Mysterio when he jumped from the ropes.
