Why WWE Legend Is Concerned Over Austin Theory’s Future
Austin Theory is back in WWE.
On the December 15 edition of RAW, the masked man from Survivor Series: WarGames was revealed as the 28-year-old wrestler.
Reports from a few months hinted at Theory returning to join Seth Rollins’ ‘The Vision,’ but the latter’s injury forced the creative team to push back the plan.
While many viewers predicted the masked man to be Austin Theory, some did hope that WWE would pivot, considering the mystery was now out in the open.
However, the company decided to stick with its plan.
Before getting injured in July, he was part of the A-Town Down Under tag team with Grayson Waller. It is also to be noted that his last main roster appearance was on May 5; after that, he competed on WWE Main Event.
WWE Hall Of Famer Expresses Concern Over Austin Theory’s Future
Despite Austin Theory’s return, there is no clear answer to whether he is a part of The Vision or in what direction WWE might take him.
Elsewhere, Hall of Famer Bully Ray discussed Theory on the Busted Open Podcast, calling it a great opportunity for Theory to shine in the spotlight.
He even speculated about various scenarios of which the 28-year-old could be a part of before expressing concern over his future.
I just hope because of what happened to Austin Theory over the past couple of years, I’m concerned that it could happen again. That’s all. I think he’s extremely talented. I think he’s got the chops for it. If he is part of The Vision, that means Heyman will incorporate him as he incorporated everybody else into anything that Paul deals with and that bodes well for Austin Theory. It’s definitely a wait-and-see. I did think the reaction last night was a bit underwhelming. I did have a concern for it. [8:05 onwards]
