Real Reason WWE Legend Came Out Of Retirement
WWE legend Nikki Bella came out of retirement earlier this year.
Bella returned to WWE at the 2025 Royal Rumble, surprising fans as the final entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She officially returned to Raw in June 2025 during a show in her home state of Arizona.
WWE star Nikki Bella Wanted To Find Herself Again
The WWE Hall of Famer was a recent guest on the Sherri show, where she revealed why she came out of retirement.
Speaking to Sherri Shepherd, she stated that she had lost herself while being a mother, which she highlighted is not a bad thing. But she wanted to get her identity back. So, she chose to return to the ring.
The one thing that I realized, and I think is so beautiful, especially about mothers, is that selflessly, we totally lose ourselves, and we don’t even mean to, right? We’re just we love our kids so much, and we want to give them everything, but then we forget about us.
And I just kind of remember looking in the mirror one day like, “Oh, who are you?” Like, “She’s not there anymore.” And I knew the one place where I could find her was back in that ring, where I could find my confidence again, and just other things that started to miss, like parts of me that were gone.
And you know, it was great to talk about it because the one thing I’ve realized is that I feel like sometimes as moms, we’re afraid to talk about how we lose ourselves because we think it’s a negative thing. But it’s not. It just shows how much we love our kids, how we want to give them a great life. But then it’s time to get our groove back. (From 2:52 – 3:41)
Bella recently formed a friendship and tag team alliance with WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. They teamed up against The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
But the bond broke when Bella shockingly turned on Vaquer on the November 10 edition of Raw. The two stars are now set to collide for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series on November 29.
