Female WWE Star Calls Out LA Knight For Ignoring Her
Maxxine Dupri calls out LA Knight in a recent interview.
For a brief period, WWE booked The Megastar as Max Dupri, who was the on-screen brother of Maxxine Dupri. Both were part of the faction called Maximum Male Models, with Maxxine serving as the group’s director of talent.
Eventually, LA Knight reverted to his original ring name, and their storyline sibling relationship also ended, with the two pursuing separate directions on WWE programming. During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Maxxine Dupri called out LA Knight for ignoring her and jokingly stated that her brother has forgotten about her.
“That is my brother. And you know what’s insane. I have a huge match on Monday versus Becky Lynch. And do you think my brother has called me to offer any advice or train me? No, he has not, and our mother is worried about him. He’s out here living by a new name, it’s crazy. It’s a whole thing. Like, if he would like to show up to a family reunion, we would be so happy to welcome him with open arms,” Maxxine said. [H/T chrisvanvliet.com]
LA Knight Announced For John Cena’s Tournament
On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, it was announced that LA Knight will be a participant in John Cena’s “Last Time is Now” tournament. However, his opponent has been kept surprise for now. Other participants announced for the tournament on SmackDown were The Miz and Jey Uso, who will take on each other. On last week’s edition of RAW, Sheamus vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev vs Damian Priest were announced for the tournament.
Several other names have been rumored to participate in the tournament. Some of the fan favorites are Gunther, Bron Breakker, Chris Jericho, Edge, and many more. Jericho and Edge are signed to AEW, but there’s a belief that they might return to WWE to face John Cena one last time. Cena will retire at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C.
