WWE Interested In AEW Star, Contract Expiring Soon
Another AEW star could make the jump to WWE.
2024 has already been a huge year for wrestling, and wrestlers negotiating new contracts. The likes of Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre have already signed huge new deals with WWE, while Mercedes Mone was made the highest-paid woman in history when she joined AEW.
Given wrestling’s current boom in popularity, more stars than ever are moving between promotions, knowing they can secure themselves a large contract. In a move that caught many by surprise, Becky Lynch is currently a free agent after letting her WWE contract expire. Despite speculation linking her with a move to AEW, it’s believed she’ll remain with the sports entertainment giant, signing a contract surpassing that signed by Mone.
Away from the huge names, Andrade returned to WWE in January, and Ethan Page made his NXT debut shortly after leaving AEW. Meanwhile, it’s believed HOOK could leave AEW when his contract runs out later in the year.

After missing out on several free agents in recent times it seems WWE is determined to bolster their ranks. In 2024, the company has already added the likes of Ethan Page, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, with Jacob Fatu, and Giulia expected to arrive in the coming months.
It’s now been reported by Lucha Libre Online, that AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract is expiring soon, and he’s attracting interest from the promotion’s great rivals.
“Pentagón Jr’s contract with AEW is scheduled to expire between August and September 2024. He is scheduled to become a free agent. There is interest on the part of WWE in his services. This free agency will be extremely interesting,”
Penta and his brother Rey Fenix joined AEW in 2019 and went on to become World Tag Team Champions and thirds of the Trios World Champions alongside PAC. There’s no word on Fenix’s contract status.
