WWE Planning Huge Street Fight For WrestleMania 40

Triple H WWE

WrestleMania 40 is shaping up to be one of the biggest WWE events of all time and it seems the company has plans for one more major match on the show.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will main event WrestleMania for the second year in a row when they clash for the WWE Universal Championship once again. The two stars will also make history as the first men to headline back-to-back nights of WrestleMania as they will also be part of a massive tag team match that sees Rhodes team with Seth Rollins and Reigns pair up with The Rock.

Seth Rollins will have to keep his head on a swivel as he will also defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre with CM Punk having a ringside seat for that match.

Women’s Royal Rumble winner Bayley will hope to seek revenge against her former Damage CTRL partner IYO SKY as she faces her for the WWE Women’s Championship. Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship will also be on the line as she defends the gold against Becky Lynch in what is becoming an increasingly personal feud.

WWE Planning Six-Man Street Fight

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has now given an update on the planned card for WrestleMania 40 with seven matches planned for Saturday and six on Sunday.

Meltzer noted that there is just one unannounced match left which appears to be The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley teaming up to face Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain. That match is said to be billed as a Philadelphia Street Fight.

At WrestleMania 13 all the way back in 1997, a six-man Chicago Street Fight took place that saw Ahmed Johnson team with the Legion of Doom to defeat Faarooq, Crush, and Savio Vega of the Nation of Domination.
