WWE Higher-Ups Confused Roman Reigns With Other Bloodline Members
Roman Reigns has an aura that cannot be replicated with ease. His popularity and in-ring presence is something that every young superstar wants to achieve.
Since 2020, The OTC has been the face of the company. He formed The Bloodline with The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman, which turned out to be one of WWE’s most dominating heel factions.
Today, Reigns doesn’t have The Bloodline or the championships, but he remains a name that sells out arenas.
WWE higher-ups wanted The Usos to look different from Roman Reigns
Before The Bloodline and the character switch, Jey and Jimmy Uso were a tag team. That being said, the duo had a distinct look where they had paint on themselves. After the switch, the duo did not want to wear paint anymore, but WWE higher-ups wanted them to continue doing so.
On Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Jimmy Uso revealed that the justification behind asking them to continue wearing paint was so that The Usos could be told apart from Roman Reigns.
I’ll never forget they was like when we did that switch, you know, the character changes everything. You got to evolve around this business. When we did the switch, we was like yo we don’t want to wear no paint and they told us. They had the higher-ups at the time, and they was like you need the paint, how the hell we going to tell y’all apart from Roman.
And I remember going ‘from Roman?’ I remember thinking like how bro, how bro? Listen, we all look alike, we all got the same ink on us like but we don’t, you can tell The Usos from Roman.
Roman Reigns’ last match on WWE was against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel 2025. The Usos tried to help when Bron Breakker interfered. Unfortunately, Jey Uso speared The OTC, which helped The Vision member secure the win.
A confrontation erupted between the former OG Bloodline members, and Reigns temporarily severed ties with The Usos.
