WWE Hall Of Famer Was “Yearning” To Be Part Of Evolution
A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about missing Evolution.
At Evolution, Nikki Bella made her most recent return to the ring, taking part in the 20-woman battle royal.
Although she was unsuccessful in her bid to earn a shot at championship gold, the veteran was back in action on Raw against Chelsea Green. On this occasion, she did grab the win, but that didn’t mean she escaped unscathed.
With the match over, Bella was attacked by Piper Niven and Alba Fyre, but Stephanie Vaquer ran in to make the save.
Brie Bella Discusses WWE Absence
While Nikki has been throwing herself back into life as a WWE Superstar, her sister Brie has remained absent. This is despite it being reported that she was in talks with the company in the weeks leading up to Evolution.
On the latest edition of the Nikki & Brie Show, Brie admitted that she would have loved to have been part of the show, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“I was yearning to be in Atlanta, to either watch live, or I would have loved to have been in a match, or been part of something. At the same time, where I’m at in my life, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Everything is meant to be.
Instead of trying to fight what you feel should be, enjoy what is. I’m supposed to be here with my family watching my sister and all the women kick ass. I enjoy that.
There were so many Bella Army people hitting me up, ‘I’m so bummed you’re not there.’ I am, too, but it’s Nikki’s time. Fingers crossed, I would love to come one day. If that will ever happen. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. That’s fine.”
Nikki quickly added that she’d love to see her sister make a comeback.
“I hope it does. I miss you. I’m getting lonely in the hotel rooms. Everyone wants you back. The Bella Twins are stronger than just Fearless Nikki. When we are a duo, we make magic happen.”
Brie Bella hasn’t wrestled since taking part in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match, and she hasn’t teamed with Nikki since October 2018.
