Ricky Steamboat To Make AEW Debut
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that a WWE Hall of Famer will be making their AEW debut on Dynamite presented by Game of Thrones – House of the Dragon.
AEW Dynamite on the 17th of August is being produced in conjunction with the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off series House of the Dragon which will air on HBO and HBO Max.
The main event of the show will see ‘The American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson face off with the man calling himself ‘The Dragon Slayer’ Daniel Garcia in a Two Out of Three Falls Match. Garcia coined the nickname for himself after defeating Danielson in his comeback match on Dynamite.
Tony Khan took to social media to announce a special guest timekeeper for the event, and in keeping with the theme, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat will be taking on that role.
For tomorrow’s
Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite presented by @HBO’s @HouseofDragon, we have the perfect special guest timekeeper for the event:

Dynamite will also feature The Gunn Club in action against The Varsity Blonds and KiLynn King taking on Toni Storm. Intriguingly, the first round of the AEW Trios Championship tournament also kicks off on the show when Dragon Lee, Andrade El Idolo, and RUSH team up to take on The Young Bucks and a perhaps not-so-mystery partner.
