WWE Hall Of Famer Hints At Scrapped WrestleMania 40 Appearance

WWE Hall Of Famer Opens Up About Their Shocking Botch

A WWE Hall of Famer could miss WrestleMania 40.

In April 2024, WWE will roll into Philadelphia for WrestleMania 40 for what promises to be a stacked weekend. WrestleMania has expanded past just a big one-night event in recent years, with Raw, SmackDown, and the Hall of Fame ceremony taking centre stage at various points.

Given Philadelphia’s association with ECW, many are tipping the Hall of Fame class of 2024 and beyond, to have a distinctly extreme flavour.

Rob Van Dam is already a member of the Hall of Fame, but fans expected him to be involved in WrestleMania in some way. However, his recent appearances for AEW might have killed off the idea before it got off the ground.

During an appearance on Marty Jannetty’s Party with Marty podcast, RVD seemed to hint he was in the frame for WrestleMania, but that’s now off the table.

“Allegedly I got booked for an appearance, and then allegedly that appearance was canceled when I showed up on an alleged competitor’s TV program, and then allegedly I might be pre-booked — either way, I’m going to be there at WrestleCon!”

During the interview, Rob Van Dam revealed that he’s regularly asked for advice when working for AEW — contrary to popular belief about AEW’s young stars.

When Did Rob Van Dam Last Appear For WWE?

Rob Van Dam made his most recent WWE appearance on May 1st on the second night of the draft, after featuring on SmackDown for night one.

The star was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
