WWE Hall Of Famer Had No Problem With Sickening Storyline

A WWE Hall of Famer has explained why she thought a controversial storyline was “brilliant.”

Back in 2005, Kurt Angle was involved in a feud with Booker T. During the rivalry, the Olympic Gold Medallist began making advances on Booker’s wife, Sharmell, and stalking the Hall of Famer. Angle made multiple explicit comments towards Sharmell, most controversially referring to having “bestiality sex” with her.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Sharmell discussed the storyline, and despite its controversy today, says it didn’t bother her at all. In fact, the star thought it was great.

“Kurt was stalking me. Because I was so new at that time, I don’t even know, they were like, Okay here’s what you’re doing. Okay. I don’t know who came up with any of that, but I thought it was brilliant. Everybody’s real touchy right now in this day and age. But it didn’t bother me. I thought it was great.

“It was interesting, but I don’t know if you could get away with that in this day and age. Everybody’s like, no, we can’t do that. It wouldn’t fly [today]. But because I knew it was acting, you know what I mean? Now, there are some serious situations out there that are like that and I don’t condone that at all, but when it was acting it was okay for me, that’s just me.”

Kurt Angle Regrets WWE Storyline With Sharmell

While Sharmell is happy to have been part of it, Kurt Angle has expressed his regret at Vince McMahon making him a “pervert.” In a 2023 edition of his podcast, Angle said the whole thing was “brutal” for him, and he would rather have not wrestler Booker T at all than go through with the storyline.
