Kurt Angle was part of some great storylines in his WWE career along with some bad ones, but there is definitely one that he regrets being a part of.

During his WWE Hall of Fame career, Kurt Angle was known as one of the most versatile superstars ever. Angle was so believable whether he was playing a badass heel, a cocky heel, a comedic figure, a confident babyface that’s easy to root for, or anything else you threw at him.

That versatility that Angle brought to WWE is why people will remember “Milk-o-Mania” or singing for Vince McMahon just as well as his classic matches with the likes of Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Edge, and The Rock to name a few.

In 2005 after WrestleMania, Kurt Angle was part of a Smackdown feud with WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and his wife Sharmell. It was a story where Angle played mind games with Booker by saying he wanted to have “beastiality sex” with Sharmell among other things. Sharmell was seen screaming oftentimes during this story.

All of this would lead to Booker T facing Angle at Judgment Day 2005. While Angle nearly won the match several times, Booker found a way to win. After the match, Angle tried to get Sharmell again, but Booker fought back and handcuffed Angle to the ropes. Booker beat up Angle some more while Sharmell kicked Angle in the groin to put an end to it.

On a recent episode of the Kurt Angle Show podcast covering Judgment Day 2005, Angle named it as the storyline that he most regrets.

“I totally regret it. I didn’t want any part of it. Even though I got to wrestle Booker, I’d rather not wrestle Booker than do what I had to do with Sharmell.”

“Vince (McMahon) had that this thing that you know, for some reason, wanted me to be a pervert.”

Angle would go on to speak about how it was a Vince McMahon idea.

“I have so much respect for Booker T and Sharmell. I love them dearly, and to have to do this program was completely brutal for me. If I were Booker I would’ve beat my ass.”

“That was Vince. When Vince has his mind on something, he sees it through to the end.”

“It wasn’t just us that were uncomfortable, everyone was uncomfortable! Everybody was stunned about this angle.”

Kurt Angle would also mention that Vince McMahon knew that Kurt dated black women in the past, so that could have been why Vince thought of the storyline.

Later in that episode, Angle also said that while he is good friends with Booker T, they have never really talked about this storyline
