WWE Hall Of Famer Still Believes In Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry may have failed to win the TNA World Title at Bound for Glory, but he still has many believers.

The rise of Joe Hendry in pro wrestling has been a great story in TNA. At the WWE NXT No Mercy PLE in October, Hendry became the first TNA contracted wrestler to headline a WWE PLE when he lost in an NXT Title match against Ethan Page.

A TNA wrestler competing on a WWE PLE before 2024 was very rare, so the fact that Hendry got to be in a main event is a very impressive feat.

While appearing in WWE has been fun for him, Joe Hendry is a TNA guy who is believed to be under contract for a “substantial amount of time” that will likely carry into 2025 and perhaps beyond that.

At TNA Bound for Glory in Detroit, many people expected Hendry to beat Nic Nemeth (former Dolph Ziggler in WWE) to win the TNA World Title, but it didn’t happen. Part of the reason Hendry lost is because of the interference of WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, who helped Nemeth keep his title.

JBL Addresses His Attack On Joe Hendry

The Clothesline from Hell that JBL used on Hendry at Bound for Glory is a move that JBL won many matches with and it’s a big reason why he was a former WWE Champion as well.

Hendry posted a photo of himself on social media, which led to JBL taking to Twitter/X to write: “I still believe in Joe Hendry.”

As most WWE fans know, JBL spent most of his career as a heel character, so he certainly could be lying like heel performers sometimes do.
