Bray Wyatt is back in WWE, but there’s one WWE Hall of Famer that doesn’t want to see his alter ego – The Fiend – return to the company.

When Bray Wyatt started in WWE about a decade ago, he was more of a regular character that manipulated people and had a “Wyatt Family” by his side. As his career in WWE evolved, he morphed into a new, darker character known as The Fiend.

The Fiend debuted in 2019 after some Firefly Fun House vignettes aired. Eventually, Wyatt would wrestle as The Fiend and he had a lot of success as that character, but some of the matches were stinkers like an infamous Hell in a Cell match with Seth Rollins. It led to Rollins recently saying: “It was tough figuring out how to tell a good wrestling story with that character.”

Now that Bray Wyatt has returned to WWE, the question is, will The Fiend be back as well? That’s unknown at this time, but there have been a lot of mysterious figures surrounding Wyatt

Bully Ray, who was part of the WWE Hall of Fame tag team known as the Dudley Boyz when he used the name Bubba Ray Dudley, explained on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio that he doesn’t want to see The Fiend return.

“Yes, he is the ultimate gimmick, but, to me, it can get a little too gimmicky at times. Even with The Undertaker, The Undertaker was the ultimate gimmick but when the lights came on and the bell rang, he wrestled matches as The Undertaker and you knew what you were.”

As he continued, Bully Ray explained that it can be confusing trying to watch The Fiend character.

“Sometimes I’m confused by what I get with Bray Wyatt or The Fiend – and maybe I shouldn’t even say Bray Wyatt ’cause when Bray Wyatt was in the Wyatt Family, I think the matches were a lot easier to understand and digest than they were with The Fiend. I hope they stay away from The Fiend character because when it comes to The Fiend and actual wrestling. I think there’s a disconnect with the people.”
