WWE Hall Of Famer Fails To Appear On AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan AEW angry

Despite being advertised to be part of the show, one WWE Hall of Famer ended up not appearing on AEW Dynamite.

The November 12th edition of AEW Dynamite was most notable for being the annual Blood & Guts edition of the show, with women getting their own bout in the double-ring steel cage match for the very first time.

Mercedes Mone, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and the Triangle of Madness won out against Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander. Storm surrendered the bout to stop the vicious assault on her friend and tag team partner, Mina Shirakawa.

In the men’s Blood & Guts bout, Jon Moxley tapped out once again as he was trapped in Kyle O’Reilly’s ankle lock. That gave O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Darby Allin a huge win over the Death Riders in a typically brutal and bloody affair.

Also notable about the show is that it took place in Greensboro, North Carolina, which, in wrestling terms, is deepest, darkest Ric Flair country.

WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Fails To Appear On Dynamite

The WWE Hall of Famer was advertised to appear on the show with his old rival, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat. However, when the show aired, it was only Steamboat who appeared, leading to questions about the Nature Boy’s whereabouts.

Flair’s relationship with AEW has always been something of an uneasy one, with him joining the company in the run-up to Sting’s retirement match in 2024. At the time, it was reported that Flair had signed a multi-year deal with AEW, but his appearances for the company have been few and far between. Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair recently lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship she held with Alexa Bliss to the Kabuki Warriors.
