WWE Hall Of Famer Donald Trump Blasts “Rigged” Trial Following Guilty Verdict
Donald Trump says he will fight to the end after being found guilty on 34 federal charges.
On May 30th, Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush-money payments made to Stormy Daniels. As a result of the verdict, Trump became the first former president to be convicted of a crime.
Trump was accused of falsifying payments to his lawyer Michael Cohen. The prosecution successfully argued these payments were reimbursements for hush-money payments made to former adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Donald Trump Vows To Keep Fighting
Donald Trump will be sentenced on July 11th after his team requested a mid-to-late July date in order to avoid a conflict with another court hearing in Florida.
Speaking after the verdict, Trump branded it a “disgrace,” before adding that the trial was “rigged.” He went on to say that he’ll keep fighting, commenting “This is far from over” as he left without answering questions from the assembled press.
Donald Trump has been associated with the McMahon family since the 1980s, with Trump’s facilities hosting two WrestleManias. Trump went on to shave McMahon’s head bald at WrestleMania 23 before making further appearances on Raw in 2009.
Meanwhile, Linda McMahon served in Trump’s cabinet as the leader of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019.
It was recently reported that Vince McMahon has been in contact with Donald Trump since leaving WWE, but a spokesperson for McMahon later denied this.
