WWE Hall Of Famer Breaks Silence After Retirement Match

A WWE Hall of Famer has issued their first comment after the apparent final match of their illustrious career.

As the millennium dawned, tag team wrestling was having its rules rewritten in WWE by The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz, and Edge & Christian. The three teams innovated the now-iconic TLC match, going to war in several wild bouts, most notably at WrestleMania 17 in 2001.

Edge and Christian are both now known as Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in AEW, but the Dudleyz and The Hardys were able to shockingly renew their rivalry in TNA. The Dudley Boyz laid down a challenge to their old rivals for One Final Table match at Bound For Glory with The Hardys’ TNA Tag Team Title on the line.

That match took on a new wrinkle when Matt and Jeff Hardy were able to win the NXT Tag Team Championship at Showdown, making them double champions.

At Bound For Glory, the two teams rolled back the years the best that they could as the Dudleyz came to the ring with Spike Dudley, and were referred to by both their WWE and TNA names during the bout. Ultimately, The Hardys retained their gold, picking up the win when they drove Bubba Ray Dudley through a table.

WWE Hall Of Famer Announces “The End”

After the match, The Dudley Boyz handed over their boots to their opponents, indicating that this was their final match and they were now retired.

Now, on social media, Bubba Ray Dudley seems to have reinforced that the WWE Hall of Famers are now done in the ring as he sent out the simple message:

Thank YOU. The End. #TNABoundForGlory

It was widely known that the bout was going to be the final one for D-Von Dudley, but it remains to be seen if Bubba Ray will ever compete as a singles star again.
