WWE Hall Of Famer Blasts Tony Khan For Latest Social Media Rant
Tony Khan caused a stir after he took issue with a double standard regarding WWE and AEW booking but it did not go down well with everyone.
In a bizarre turn of events, Jinder Mahal proved to be the catalyst for Tony Khan’s outburst as he responded to what he saw as a difference in reception to Mahal receiving a World Heavyweight Title shot and HOOK going after the AEW World Title against Samoa Joe.
According to Tony Khan, criticism of HOOK receiving a title shot was in stark contrast to the absence of the same for Mahal receiving a shot at Seth Rollins’ title despite Mahal last winning a main roster match in June 2022.
WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray Not A Fan Of Tony Khan’s Approach
Khan’s outburst brought the usual suspects out to take their shot at him and it was WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray’s turn on Busted Open Radio where he questioned Khan’s wisdom in letting these things get to him so publicly:
What good did it do? Nothing. Zero. You are allowing people to get to you. You are showing the world that social media is bothering you because he had to have read this HOOK outrage somewhere. Maybe a million people directly tweeted Tony Khan about the HOOK outrage and that’s what he responded to.
Tony Khan has previously explained his belief that he can use social media to promote AEW shows and by responding to outrage and getting attention that helps his company.
