WWE Hall Of Famer On Another Royal Rumble Return

WWE Royal Rumble Arena

A WWE Hall of Famer has not ruled out making a return to TV screens in the 2023 Royal Rumble but cautions they want plenty of notice if they’re needed.

Molly Holly was a lynchpin of WWE’s women’s division in the early 2000s, winning the WWE Women’s Championship on two occasions and famously had her head shaved after losing at WrestleMania 20.

She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 and since then has worked behind the scenes in the company as a producer. On-screen Holly has returned to the ring in the women’s Royal Rumble match on three occasions. In 2022, she reprised her popular Mighty Molly in the bout that was won by a returning Ronda Rousey.

Speaking on a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, Molly Holly explained how she has requested plenty of advance notice if she is required as one of the 30 women in the 2023 Royal Rumble:

“I told the creative writing team that if I do have to be in it, I need some advance notice because it hurts to go from not doing it for a long time and then getting thrown in there. So they have not given me any notice as of yet, and it’s getting close to that time, so they better tell me soon if I am gonna have to be in it.”

Molly Holly then revealed the least amount of notice she was given to appear in a Rumble match and how it led to tears:

“The least amount of notice they’ve ever given me for a Rumble is six days. I go to the tanning booth, try not to get too burned. I go buy rub-on tan, I bleach my teeth, dug through past outfits to see if I can bedazzle them or somehow jazz them up because there’s no way I can find a seamstress in that amount of time and do a lot of crying [laughs].”
