Liv Morgan is proud of the fact that she was able to beat Ronda Rousey during the biggest moment of her WWE career.

It has been an incredible year for Liv Morgan as a woman that went from being a plucky underdog who many people didn’t take seriously all the time to a Money in the Bank winner that became the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Not only that, but she beat one of the most dominant women’s wrestlers in WWE history.

At Money in the Bank in July, Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank match. Later that same night, Ronda Rousey beat Natalya to retain the Smackdown Women’s Title. It was a tough match for Rousey, so Morgan decided to cash in. After a bit of a battle, Morgan beat Rousey to capture the Smackdown Women’s Title for the first time.

Later in July at SummerSlam, Morgan defended the Smackdown Women’s Title against Rousey. It was a match dominated by Rousey, but Morgan won by pinfall even though she tapped out before that. The referee never saw it, so Morgan got the win. Rousey beat Morgan to regain the title at October’s Extreme Rules event.

During an appearance on “Twin Talk with Haley & Hanna Cavinder,” Morgan spoke about how proud she was to be the only woman to beat Rousey twice.

“I’m the only person in the whole entire world to beat her twice. It was amazing. honestly. Growing up a huge fan of WWE since I was 5 years old, you know the goal is to be women’s champion. So to win Money in the Bank and to cash in the same night on Ronda Rousey, it was unreal.”

“When I finally got it that night, I had no emotion. I couldn’t feel a thing.”

As she continued, Morgan noted that she was one of Rousey’s first friends after Rousey joined the company in 2018, but Morgan said she doesn’t like her anymore. Of course, that could just be part of the storyline after their feud, and since Rousey is a heel now.

“Since our title feud, we’ve steered pretty far away from each other. But beforehand, I think I was one of her first friends here in WWE. That’s why when I won the title, she respected what I did and she was actually happy for me. But yeah now, no I don’t like her anymore.”
