WWE SummerSlam is heading to Cleveland.

The puzzle around the edition of SummerSlam is close to being completed.

It was recently reported that WWE is receiving a tax credit from the state of Ohio worth $1.676 million. This comes as part of a $44 million package the state is using for TV and film productions in 2024. The sports entertainment giant is yet to confirm an event in Ohio, but there have been reports that SummerSlam will be taking place in Cleveland.

A fresh update from Wrestle Votes has now claimed the company is close to finalising a deal to hold the event at Cleveland Browns Stadium. SummerSlam will reportedly take place on August 3rd, and an announcement is expected in April.

SummerSlam 2024 has been rumored for Cleveland, as @SeanRossSapp hinted months ago. I’m told that through sources, WWE is close to finalizing a deal with Cleveland Browns Stadium to host the event on Saturday, Aug 3. Formal announcement should come in April.

What Happened At WWE SummerSlam 2023?

SummerSlam 2023 was headlined by the highly-anticipated grudge match between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns. In a shocking twist, the Tribal Combat match came to an end after Jimmy Uso turned his back on brother Jey to help Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

In the weeks after the event, Jey stormed out of SmackDown before being brought to Raw by Cody Rhodes at Payback in September.
