WWE SummerSlam 2024 Location Leaked

WrestleMania isn’t even in the books for 2024 yet but it seems that the location of SummerSlam may have been revealed through an unlikely source.

2023’s edition of SummerSlam took place in Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan in front of over 51,000 fans. The main event of the night saw The Bloodline well and truly explode as Jey Uso and Roman Reigns clashed for the WWE Universal Championship and the right to be called Tribal Chief.

Shockingly, it was Jimmy Uso who returned to cost his twin brother the win, instead helping Roman Reigns retain his title and carry on his historic reign.

The show also might go down in history as hosting Brock Lesnar’s final WWE match. Lesnar lost to Cody Rhodes on the show but given he has been implicated in the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, WWE has pulled creative plans for Brock Lesnar’s return leaving his future hanging in the balance.

Where Will WWE SummerSlam 2024 Take Place?

The Columbus Dispatch has reported that WWE is receiving a tax credit from the state of Ohio worth $1.676 million. This comes as part of a $44 million package the state is using for TV and film productions in 2024.

No major WWE show has yet been announced for the state of Ohio in 2024 but there is strong speculation that it is linked to the Municipal Stadium in Cleveland hosting SummerSlam. That possibility was first reported by Fightful Select back in October 2023.

In recent years WWE has sought payment from states and governments for major shows. The Welsh government paid almost $3 million for Clash at the Castle in 2022, an investment they say gave them a ten-times return in economic benefits by hosting the show in Cardiff.
