WWE has filed an interesting new trademark for the latest member of The Bloodline, Jacob Fatu.

On the June 21st edition of SmackDown, Jacob Fatu made a huge impact in his WWE debut. The former MLW World Champion came to the aid of Solo Sikoa, taking out Kevin Owens and Randy Orton on the outside before setting his sights on Cody Rhodes in the ring.

When the action spilled back to the outside, Fatu laid Rhodes out on an announce table before climbing the corner post and crashing through The American Nightmare from the top. The show closed with Fatu standing tall with the rest of The Bloodline, showing where his allegiance now lies.

WWE Trademark’s Jacob Fatu’s MLW Nickname

With Fatu now firmly in WWE, the company has trademarked not only his name, but on June 23rd, the company filed a trademark for the “Samoan Werewolf”, a nickname he used in both MLW and the wider indie scene.

You can read the full filing below:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment”

While he is now part of the company, it has recently been reported that Jacob Fatu could miss major shows WWE holds overseas due to his criminal record.
